Background
Chris Ledbury has lived and worked in Wales since 1973 and has over 30 years’ experience in countryside management.
He joined the staff of the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority in 1975 as Projects Officer in the Park Management Section. From 1990 until 2004 (when he decided to take early retirement) he was a member of its Senior Management Team.
Chris can provide personal expertise in areas such as access and rights of way, wildlife conservation, interpretation and visitor management. He also has wide experience of budgetary and staff management.
Trained as a geographer and rural planner, Chris is a long-standing Member of the Landscape Institute (Landscape Management Division) He has recently become a Member of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management and is an Associate of the Association for Heritage Interpretation. He has also had involvement with protected landscape management in several parts of Europe.
With numerous contacts throughout Wales and the Marches, Chris is able to bring together appropriate teams to tackle a wide range of commissions.
